'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Relatives of Missing Teenagers Desperately Seek Information After Ski Resort Blaze
The families of teens missing after a deadly fire at a establishment in a Swiss ski resort are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for information about their children online.
The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Verified video show the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Officials have warned that it could take considerable time to formally name the victims of the disaster, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and wounded another over a hundred. A spokesperson said on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with work continuing to name the remaining few.
In the interim, families and friends have been posting on social media to request information about their loved ones who were at the bar that night.
Appeals for the Unaccounted For
The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an appeal from his family.

The national sporting body has stated that he is dead, without directly referencing the tragedy, paying tribute to a "young athlete who embodied passion and true sportsmanship."
His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has clarified that a official announcement of his death is not yet.
Other Cases
Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also among the missing. His mother told reporters that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the venue.
"Someone with him informed me they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.
One of his educators said, "He was known for his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently ask if help out."
Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives full-time in the country, was also at the bar on that night, according to media.
Her brother has published an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
Officials from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the case.
