Spurs Boss Thomas Frank Calls Vicario Booers 'Not True Genuine Supporters'
Fulham Start Strong to Beat Spurs and Raise Pressure on Frank
Spurs fans who jeered goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were told later "they can't be real Spurs supporters" by manager Frank.
Spurs let in a pair of scores in the first initial moments to lose 2-1 to their opponents, registering their tenth top-flight home loss of the year.
But the primary talking point was Fulham's next score when Vicario gave away the ball well outside his area.
The goalkeeper came out to deal with a long ball and took the ball towards the touchline.
However, instead of booting it out of play, the Italian spun and tried to clear away, but slipped as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was controlled by King.
King laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Harry Wilson, who bent a shot into the goal from the sideline measured at thirty-six point six metres.
Moments later when the ball came to the keeper again, some Tottenham supporters jeered him.
Spurs were jeered off at half-time, with the side 2-0 behind, and again at the final whistle.
A particular of those booing episodes really angered Frank.
"It came to my attention a few of our fans apparently booed the incident and jeered after, which, in my view is totally unacceptable," the Danish manager stated about the fans' reaction to his goalkeeper.
"Those individuals cannot be true Spurs supporters that do that. Fair enough jeering following the game, fine, but when we are playing, we are backing each other, we are with one another moving ahead."
Kenny Tete had given Fulham a early advantage before Wilson's goal – with Kudus netting for Tottenham in an improved second-half performance.
Ex- top-flight keeper Joe Hart stated that the next goal was "completely avoidable".
"I do understand the fans' disappointment," the ex-keeper added. "I am aware the part the keeper is performing. He's a great squad member, he is a real figure in the locker room but ultimately you are going to be assessed by your decisions.
"The keeper was deeply implicated in what ended up to be the winning score."

Frank Stood Up For His Goalkeeper Vicario After the Game
Italian international the keeper is in his 3rd campaign with Tottenham.
He said after the game that he had to take the criticism.
"The second score was a mistake of my own, I take responsibility for it," he said.
"My aim was to clear the ball far and I simply struck the ball in a bad way. It was an more difficult challenge to climb."
He said receiving jeers "comes with the game".
"I'm a big man, how can I respond?" he added. "The team can't be affected by the circumstances in the stands. Supporters have the entitlement to do as they see fit.
"It's on the team to stay increasingly composed, to focus on ourselves. The team is lacking in calmness and poise to overturn outcomes. This match is a poor defeat and it is tough to accept."
'I Was Surprised No One Went Back to the Goal Line'
Despite Vicario's error, it was not an simple goal for Wilson to score.
Actually it was the second most distant Premier League score of the season – after Adams' 43.3 yard goal for Bournemouth against the Black Cats, which incidentally also occurred on the same day.
Wilson stated he was "somewhat taken aback" that he still had an empty net to aim for.
Ten seconds passed between the keeper exiting of his box and Wilson striking – which was five moments after the clearance.
"It seemed to me like the keeper was out of the area for ages," he remarked.
"It amazed me not one of the back four returned to the goal line. When not one of them covered the goal, my interest sparked a bit.
"[Destiny] Udogie slipped too, which gave me a little additional time. Then it was solely about trying to make the right contact and place it on target. I felt a positive sense, as soon as it left my boot, that it was heading in."

Booing While We Are Still in Play Is Totally Unacceptable - the Manager
Although Vicario's mistake dominated coverage, this was an overall bad day for Spurs to continue their home ground woes.
The match was their tenth at home defeat of 2025 in the Premier League, a joint team statistic along with 1994 and 2003.
The side still have home games against the manager's former club the Bees and champions the Reds to come prior to the end of the season.
Just a single of those victories have come since the manager took over from Ange Postecoglou in the off-season.
"When you're down 2-0 following the opening, there is a huge challenge to climb," stated Frank.
"When you're in a poor run, all aspects seems to go against you too – the opening was a deflected shot, the next is a mistake from Vic.
"This result leaves us in a position where we have lost another match. Each fixture has a single story, today we were defeated in the early stages.
"We just need to keep working. The second half was much better and hopefully an aspect we can use to develop."
Spurs have lost four straight at home capital clashes for the first time in the Premier League.
And they are averaging 9.5 shots and three point two shots on target per game in the division – their lowest rates on record in a one season (dating back to the 2003-04 season).
Ex- Cottagers midfielder Danny Murphy stated that the manager has to ride the storm.
"He must take the criticism," the pundit said. "He's accepted a prestigious role at a major football club with enormous anticipation. There is pressure and responsibility that comes with that.
"The performances at home have been disappointing and they have to get better {quickly|
